Currency
Canada uses the Canadian dollar (CAD) for all purchases. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but it’s handy to have some cash for small vendors or remote areas.
Official Languages
Canada has two official languages, English and French. English is widely spoken across most regions, while French is predominant in Quebec and some eastern communities. We had no issues with while visiting Banff area, English was used everywhere.
