Devil’s Punchbowl

After walking just over a mile, we arrived at Devil’s Punchbowl. A bridge spans the area, and many people were jumping off it. While it looked fun, I’m not sure if it’s actually recommended.

Here, you can see just how deep blue the lake is. I’ve always been a huge fan of lakes with this kind of rich, striking color. The water was so deep that I couldn’t even see the bottom.

Our Washington visit was in August and there was a few people at this location approx 15, so I wouldn’t say it was busy, but we just went to the otherside of the bridge and I decided to jump in and swim as well. Even though it was mid August, the water was freezing yet. I stayed in for about 10 minutes to enjoy the experience before we headed out.

It was a bit cloudy with some mist and light rain during our hike, so the colors weren’t as vibrant as I had hoped. I’m confident that on a sunny day, this location won’t disappoint you with beautiful views.

Conclusion

Devil’s Punchbowl is a hidden gem on Crescent Lake that perfectly blends stunning scenery with a little adventure. From the deep blue waters to the bridge with daring jumpers, it’s a spot that’s both beautiful and exhilarating. Whether you’re looking to take photos, enjoy a peaceful walk, or brave a swim in the chilly lake, it’s a Washington destination that’s well worth the visit.
